It requires ample swimming room and a sand bottom for burrowing. The Scissortail Goby will rarely become aggressive towards other fish, but is territorial, and will fight with its own kind unless they are a mated pair.
Tank Conditions: The Scissortail Goby fish do well within normal reef tank temperature ranges of 75-84°F.
Feeding and Diet: The Scissortail Goby will accept a variety of foods including Brine Shrimp and bloodworms. They will also take flake food as it sinks. They are mid water feeders and will eat the food as it falls through the water column.
