The Clown Leaflip Grouper is a hardy aquarium fish that makes an interesting display animal. The Juveniles Clown Grouper have several large white circles on their belly that are filled with smaller white spots, and yellowish-tan saddles on the back with white spots. As it grows it develops black saddles on its back and small white spots all over its body and head. Although young specimens can be quite secretive, with time they will become bolder and spend more time in the open.
The Clown Leaflip Grouper is a ravenous predator that will eat any fish or crustacean that it can swallow whole, so be sure to not keep it with anything too small.
The Clown Grouper fish is not too rare, it is however not always around, it's never plentiful, it is very popular.
The Clown Grouper is a large and very hardy fish which requires a large aquarium. It can be compatible with other fish provided they are too large to be eaten. It should not be trusted around invertebrates or small fish. A Beautiful and fairly easy to keep fish, just give Clown Grouper enough space and carefully consider tankmates. Tank Conditions: The Clown Grouper prefers a tank of at least 80 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim. The Clown Grouper may act aggressively toward other fish and hence are not placed with other small fishes in aquarium. Most often they eat the timid fishes so always don’t keep them with the Clown Grouper.
Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).

Feeding and Diet: The Clown Grouper are carnivore and feed a varied diet of meaty foods. They make excellent Reef Aquarium Compatibility but will eat shrimps and fish its own size or smaller.
